Furniture Upholsterer and Upholstery Technician

We are seeking an experienced upholsterer in San Antonio, TX to start immediately. We are looking for candidates that have extensive experience doing re-upholstery. Must have own tools.

Job Duties:

• Reupholstery of residential or commercial furniture
• Sewing, cutting and applying fabric
• Padding, webbing and spring repair
• Working with a variety of materials; Vinyls, Leathers, Silk, Wool and much more.

Skills or Experience Required:

• Customer Service Skills are requiredSewing Skills
• Be able to operate sewing machines or sew upholstery by hand to seam cushions and join various sections of covering material

Requirements:

• MUST have at least 5 years experience in the furniture upholstery industry
• MUST be able to multi-task and follow directions
• MUST be able to provide work history with references
• MUST have a valid driver's license
• Be authorized to work in the United States

Furniture Repair Technician

We are seeking experienced furniture repair technicians in San Antonio, TX. We are looking for candidates that have experience with furniture repair. Must have own tools, reliable transportation and a valid driver's license.

Job Duties / Skills or Experience Preferred:

• Customer Service Skills are required
• Experience with different aspects of furniture repair including; basic upholstery skills, wood, leather, mechanisms, and frame repairs (such as securing loose joints, cutting & replacing wood/ rebuilding frames as needed)
• Adjustment of drawers, doors, glides as well as other components
• Cleaning of upholstery and leather
• Leather / Vinyl Repair: Apply various techniques (including fill, patches, grain and color to match). Refinish as needed.
• Inspection of merchandise for visible damage
• Wood furniture / Case Goods; Repairs including Burn-Ins, matching grain and color of stain and finish. To repair dents, scratches and chips.
• Be able to strip & refinish wood furniture product to manufacturer standards.
• Be proficient with burn-in tools
• In-Home Furniture Repairs; Apply various furniture repair techniques (fillers, burn-ins, color matching, structural repairs, and installation of replacement parts)
• Good communication skills and basic computer skills
• Candidate must be able to maintain a high job completion ratio
• Provide Excellent Customer Service
